All of these were taken for a photo class project regarding portraits. Highlights on the hair, reflected light, less vs more depth of field--there were lots of rules. All great fun. I learned that reflected light is my friend, and was glad that Venom likes to be photographed. Thanks Venom!

These look great to me. What does your instructor think? Are you making good grades? (Such a mom question, huh!)

Easy photographic subject. Take a picture of me and make it look good and you will have accomplished something.

Instructor is slow with grading, but I have done fine on what she's graded so far. She hasn't seen these yet. Worked on editing them w/photoshop monday, but these aren't the edited ones. Assignment had some specific rules for different shots--close up,reflected light, shallow depth of field; full length, integrated into environment, reflected light; direct light, large depth of field; backlighted, highlights on the hair, face properly exposed;stuff like that. The ones I turn in will be graded that way as well as for effectively capturing the subject and good composition.
