A couple of things about ducks

1. Some ducks whistle instead of quack. Parents of small children take note.

2. All the ducks around here are, or seem to be, dabbling ducks. They tip headfirst into shallow water to feed on plants, snails, stuff.

3. The northern pintail is very pretty.

4. The American Wigeon does not look like a pigeon.

Ducks are underappreciated, I think.
