Danjo in Maui

Because I didn't take just my camera, I took my guy...
Danjo waiting for dinner
at
the Sea House
on Napili Bay
(I dare you to find me a better beach anywhere).
It is nearly sunset
(see crab photo in last blog post for dinner aftermath)
To his right is the path
leading down the shoreline to our room
The sea turtles are swimming
around the coral reefs
with the eels and angel fish and lobsters
in the water behind him
but you can't see them
in this photo
but we know they are there
because we did see them
while snorkeling
(which is scary
because you must breathe through a tube
with your face in the water
and can't stand up or touch anything
but fun
because there are sea turtles).
Danjo
exploring the tide pools
(complete with hermit crabs and sea cucumbers and tropical fish)
after breakfast,
at the Gazebo place
down the beach
from our hotel
which has macadamia nut pancakes.
The island in the background
is either
Molokai
or
Lanai
I think.
Well, actually
it is
Lana'i
because I looked it up.
Danjo eating
Aunty Sandy's pineapple
on
the road to Hana.
He liked it better than the passion fruit
(ask him about the passion fruit)
Aunty Sandy
had
decent
banana
bread
also.
But
Grandma Esther's
is better.
Danjo at Nahiku
We watched the ocean there
for a very long time.
You have to drive through
Tarzan's neighborhood
to get there.
Just to Danjo's left are
insane people surfing
(no you can't see them but we could),
or hoping to surf.
We never saw them catch a wave
but the waves were
really wow.
REALLY WOW.
Danjo at Big Beach.
It is a big beach.
It was empty,
possibly because of
the big black cloud
over it
that looked like rain.
It had nice sand.
And a lifeguard.
The Maui beaches are short of lifeguards.
Perhaps the sea turtles will save you
if you
can't swim.

That is all for now.

"Your Guy" has movie star potential (top photo) also geek potential (eating pineapple photo) all in all a nice mix of potentials. And yes, we agree, he is magnificent!

Now you need to teach him enough so he can take a photo of you on the beach on Maui.
